Safaricom 2.3 billion bid to improve network.

Safaricom Ltd have injected Kshs 2.3 billion in network rehabilitation in order to boost its voice, data services and its other services in the Western part of Kenya, in the recently concluded exercise.

The work dubed Western Focus involves installation of some 117,2G base stations and upgrading of 121,2G stations to 3G status.

This upgrades had an aim of addressing challanges the network customers previously faced because of the terrain and nature of the environment in this part of the country.
