Kenya and its Sugar woes.

Kenya produces an avarage of 520,000 metric tonnes of sugar per year compared to 800,000 metric tonnes consumed annually.

The country is allowed to import a total of 200,000 metric tonnes of the commodity annual from COMESA region in an agreement set to come to an end on 28th February next year.
