Kenyan Tech-Innovations attracting global interest.

The last few months has witness investor make a beeline for a slice of the countries bustling web and mobile application scene, with a conviction that they could become the next big thing such as ‘Google’.

With local success stories such as M-Pesa and Ushaidi, Venture capitalist have been moving in in droves. Recently a 48-hour competition known as IPO48 made possible by HumanIPO, pitching 12 startups. It took place at Nairobi’s iHub and the contestants were given 48hours to turn brilliant ideas into viable business, with the winner Tusqee Systems taking home Kshs 3 million.

With this flow of money and mentoring now available for Kenyan start-ups, fortunes are set to change. Sooner or later someone may come up with a break through idea.

Things for these start ups could only get better.
