The Big Boys. Africa’s Billionaires.

Its the 25th year of tracking global wealth and one to remember also. The total wealth of those listed is $ 4.5 trillion.

BRICs have made the largest number of new entries with 214, with China accounting 108.

Africa has 14 billionaires only which include Nigerians, Egyptians and South Africans and not a single East African.

The list of Africans starts with Nigerian Aliko Dangote with wealth of $13.8 billion. His wealth grew by 557% over the last year.

South African Nicky Oppenheimer and his family have wealth worth $7 billion making him the richest in South Africa and second in Africa.

Nassef Sawiri is the richest person in Egypt with wealth worth $5.6 billion. He is followed closely by Johann Rubert with $4.8 billion.

Thd owner of Wind Telecom, Naguib Sawiris is worth $3.5 billion dollars and Africas 5th richest. Patrice Motsepe comes in at sixth with a net worth of $3.3 billion.

Onsi Sawiris and Mike Adenuga come seventh and eighth with wealth of $2.9 and 2 billion respectively.

Egyptians Mohamed Mansour worth $2 billion and Yasseen Mansour worth $1.8 billion make up the top 10.
