Saada Gaddafi given refuge in Niger.

12 Sep

Saadi Gaddafi son to embattled Libyan leader has been given refuge in neighbouring Niger. Saada is the only son of Muammar Gaddafi who has offered to negotiate an end to the fighting, but nothing came of the offer.

With Gaddafi whereabouts unknown, the National Transitional Council now controls most of the country including the capital Tripoli.

On sunday the anti-gaddafi troops resume fighting on Bani Walid, 18km from the capital which together with Sirte are still under the loyalist.

Some of Muammars family have fled to Algeria but Col. Gaddafi has vowed to fight and die in Libya, though Guinea Bissau have offered him refuge.
