Kenya: 53 cents petrol price increase.

16 Sep

The prices of super petrol went up by 53 cents on Wednesday whereas diesel and kerosene price dropped.

The Energy Regulatory Commision, who have been increasing the price of fuel since its formation, indicated that the cause of the rise is due to slight change in international crude oil prices and a weakening shilling.

ERC set the price of super petrol to be retail at Ksh 117.75 in Nairobi, Shs118.12 in Nakuru, Shs 119.09 in Kisumu and Shs 119.03 in Eldoret. But with rogue and greedy retailers, the price may rice upto Shs 130.
