Wanyama wanted by Manchester United

wanyamaManchester United are ready to make a £10million summer bid for Kenya and Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Manchester United Boss Alex Ferguson scouted Victor Wanyama  on Tuesday night when he scored in a 4-0 win over Dundee United and have sent scouts to watched him in every Champions League game this season, including the 2-1 home win over Barcelona in which he scored.

Ferguson needs midfielders this summer with Paul Scholes, 38, and Ryan Giggs, 39, set to retire and Wanyama is a strong defensive midfielder who can also play at centre-back. United face competition from Arsenal who want Wanyama to beef up his their team.

Celtic chief Neil Lennon wants to keep a player they bought from Belgian side Beerschot in 2011 for just £900,000.
