Forbes Africa Magazine’s list of this year’s top 50 rich people in the continent was released on Wednesday.

The list is topped once again by Nigerian mogul, Aliko Dangote, with a net worth of 20.8 billion US dollars with Johann Rupert and Nicky Oppenheimer tagging second and third place respectively

The list is topped once again by Nigerian mogul, Aliko Dangote, with a net worth of 20.8 billion US dollars with Johann Rupert and Nicky Oppenheimer tagging second and third place respectively.

South Africa still holds the highest number of billionaires on the continent with Nigeria not far behind.

A number of new entries on the list this year have put countries such as Tanzania, Kenya and Morocco on the map.
